Located near Strasbourg, we welcome and accommodate visitors all year long in our Bed and Breakfast and self-catering holiday rooms. The warm and friendly rooms are on ground floor and are suitable for children as well as elderly people. You will enjoy resting in this haven of green. The place is also ideal if you are looking for a change of scene and pleasant walks in a green and rural surrounding.

Our Bed and Breakfast is located in a quiet and green surrounding at a small distance from the village of Hoerdt. You will be able to bet on horse races at the horse racing field located in Hoerdt. During your stay, you may well come across sulkies and horse-riders trotting along.
Le Gite et la Paille is an equestrian Bed and Breakfast and therefore we provide stables and hay to accomodate the guests’ horses. A meadow is also available. We accept our guests pets under certain conditions.

Hoerdt is a typical Alsatian village located 15 km from Strasbourg. It is well-known for the asparagus festival in Spring and it offers all the necessary facilities to enjoy a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Thanks to a direct access to the motorway, Le Gite et la Paille is only ten minutes away from the city of Strasbourg. The European capital city offers many remarkable places to visit and points of interest such as the old historical Alsatian district called La Petite France, the Alsatian museum and most of all, a breathtaking 12th century Gothic cathedral. Strasbourg also offers a great choice of restaurants, shops and bars to suit all tastes
